How it works
Describe the event
Pick the kind of sheet for sensible column titles, then add the title, date, place and a note.
Set the slots
Each slot gets as many lines as the people it needs. Make a run of time slots in one go, or paste a list from a spreadsheet.
Prefill and link
Names already promised print in their spaces. Paste the link to an online form and the sheet carries a QR code for people who prefer their phone.
Print or post
Print on A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape; long sheets continue with the column titles repeated. Or copy it as text for a group chat.
Tips for sheets that fill up
Potlucks
Ask for categories, not dishes, and leave a spare line in each. Rule of thumb from many organisers: about one main per 8–10 guests and a dessert per 10–12.
Volunteer shifts
Two to three hours is easier to commit to than a whole day. Overlap shifts by 15 minutes so the hand-over happens in person.
Appointments
Leave a 5-minute gap between 10–15 minute slots so one late arrival does not push the whole evening.
Frequently asked questions
Does this collect online responses?
No. It makes a printable sheet people write on. If you also run an online form, paste its link and the sheet prints a QR code that opens it.
How do I make time slots quickly?
Use Make time slots: enter a start and end time, the length of each slot and how many people each needs. The slots are added to the list, and you can edit or delete any of them.
Can I prefill people who already signed up?
Yes. Type their names in the Already signed up box for that slot, separated by commas. Remaining spaces print as blank lines.
Can I share the list in a group chat instead?
Yes. Copy as text produces a plain list with the open spaces marked, ready to paste into a message so people can reply with what they will bring.
Can I make a sign-in sheet with time in, time out and a signature?
Yes. Choose Sign-in sheet as the kind of sheet, or tick Phone, Email, Time in, Time out or Signature under More columns on any sheet. Each ticked column prints as an empty box on every line. For a volunteer hours log, use landscape so the extra columns have room.
Is any event data uploaded?
No. The sheet is made in your browser and kept in this browser's local storage. The QR code is drawn on the page; no QR service is contacted.
